Panel Description
The aim of a health risk assessment is to identify health hazards, evaluate
their risks to health, and determine appropriate control measures. It is
essential that a systematic approach be used to evaluate the potential for
individual harm and protect against any adverse exposure. The health risk
assessment must be fully embedded into the HSE-management system in order to be
effective.
This panel session will discuss the experiences of a number of companies with
regards to health risk assessments, as well as some of the methods and tools
used to conduct these assessments.

Panel Description
The industry is committed to achieving sound environmental performance in all segments of its activities, and it has developed the means to measure its performance. Do we need to do more? Are there industry activities or sections of the environment where the industry satisfactorily performs? Or activities or sections where it does not yet satisfactorily perform? When does performance become sustainable? What are the key factors to success?

Panel Description
External stakeholders, particularly NGOs in North America, have manifested their strong concern about the impact that sound from the oil and gas industry's activities allegedly has on marine mammals, arguing that it poses an increasing threat to the already endangered marine mammal populations. They are asking for stricter control and restrictions from the oil industry, which could make operations difficult or impossible in some cases. What are the points of view, and how is the industry responding to this challenge?
