New strategies for shale, tight gas, and coalbed methane

Advance registration is closed. Please register on site during the Conference.

This conference, new for 2008, will focus on unconventional reservoirs, and provide an international forum for the discussion of advanced technologies that can be used to define, characterize, and recover unconventional hydrocarbon reserves. The innovative format will include a facilitated discussion of invited papers. The presentations will highlight the emerging and applied technologies in use worldwide for the recovery of unconventional hydrocarbon resources. Professionals in fields ranging from asset and project management to reservoir engineering and evaluation to production and well completions will benefit from attending. Conference topics will include the following:

  • Shale gas and oil, tight gas reservoirs, coalbed methane
  • Worldwide reserves, evaluation and quantification criteria, well spacing
  • Data quality, characterization, assessment of unconventional reserves
  • Data integration, seismic, PA/PTA
  • Modeling requirements, performance predictions
  • Technologies to produce unconventional reservoirs
  • Well-type selection and stimulation strategies
