SPE members have access to a number of programs, directories, and communities that are exclusive to members.  This page provides easy access to these member only features of the website.

  • Print Temporary Membership Card
    • New and renewing members are mailed an original membership card. Mailing time to some destinations can take several weeks.
      We have provided this convenient, print on demand option to allow you to print a temporary card until your original card arrives by post.
  • Membership Directory
    • Locate other members by name, location, and other criteria.  Note: Use of the Membership Directory for commercial purposes, including compiling email lists, is strictly prohibited. Violators will lose their access privileges.
  • Update Address, Email, Other Information
    • Be sure your JPT issue and other communications reach you by keeping your contact information current.  Remember that changing your email address affects your login.

    • Each month, the Journal of Petroleum Technology synopsizes a number of SPE papers. For a two-month period, SPE members can download the full-length paper for free.

    • SPE offers members a permanent email address that can be forwarded to your home or office email, or accessed online.
  • Automatically qualify for membership with AAPG and SEG
    • If you are an active member of SPE, you automatically qualify to be a member of AAPG and SEG.
  • Browse historical AIME Transactions
    • AIME Transactions from 1871-1970 are available to the AIME member societies in pdf format
  • Staff Contacts  
    • service@spe.org will always be your best contact for most inquiries.  But for those participating on committees, leading sections, and other member activities, this list of staff contacts may help you get to the right person quickly.
