Submit a Discussion
Readers of SPE journals are encouraged to comment on papers by writing a Discussion.
SPE has made this easy through the online versions of the journals. Next to each paper is a link for submitting a discussion item on that paper. Use of this feature for discussions is encouraged.
If, for some reason, you cannot submit your discussion item to the online journals, you may also submit a discussion item in writing.
Discussions should be no more than one journal page (approximately five double-spaced manuscript pages) and should pertain directly to the paper being discussed. Discussions are reviewed by the Executive Editor of the journal in which they will appear, who then determines whether they will be published. Discussions are forwarded to the author(s) of the paper being discussed for formal reply before publication.
To submit a written Discussion on any technical paper appearing in the journals, send the text, including all figures, tables, equations, etc., to the SPE Staff Editor at journals@spe.org or mail to: SPE Technical Publications, P.O. Box 833836, Richardson, TX 75083-3836. Be certain that it is clear to which paper your discussion applies.
