Kabir is a global reservoir engineering advisor with
Hess Corp. in Houston, Texas, USA. Kabir has over 30 years of
extensive experience in the areas of fluid and heat flows in wellbores,
pressure-transient testing, and reservoir engineering. He has
published over 100 papers and two books, and also contributed
in the 2009 SPE Transient Well Testing monograph. He
has served on many SPE committees including editorial review of SPEPF,
SPEREE, and SPEJ. He received commendation as an
outstanding technical editor five times for two different journals.
Kabir is a distinguished lecturer, a distinguished member, and
received the 2010 SPE Reservoir Description and Dynamics award.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the U.
of Calgary, Canada.
