Fundamentals of Deepwater Riser Engineering

Instructors: Erin Balch, Alan Whooley

This 1-day course will provide attendees with the basic principles and technologies of riser engineering design, fabrication, and installation. It will provide an understanding of the primary drivers behind riser system selection for deepwater floating production.

The Science and Technology of Water Treating

Instructor: John Walsh

Water treating is becoming increasingly important for maintaining the license to operate, as a component of DBOO project delivery, and for developing IOR/EOR projects. This 2-day course provides a fundamental understanding of the science and practical applications of water treating. It presents the fundamental mechanisms behind various water treating equipment and processes and gives practical experience from dozens of water treating facilities from around the globe.

Fundamentals of Deepwater Project Development

Instructors: Richard D’Souza, Madhu Hariharan, Matt Doan

This 1-day course will provide a fundamental understanding of deepwater development planning and familiarize attendees with essential floating platform, subsea, and riser technologies that enable safe and profitable extraction of hydrocarbons in deep water. The course material is designed to serve as a handy reference and guide to deepwater project development.
