Review assigned student paper contest participants’ papers within a division, (undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD)
Attend face-to-face presentations of papers (when regional contest requires this process) and rate/judge the presentations
For International Student Paper Contest—Review papers for the division (undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD) and attend the face-to-face competition held during SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (at your own expense); Listen to the oral paper presentations and judge/rate them
Qualifications and Experience
Must have achieved at least the degree level that you are judging (Master’s degree to judge the Master’s division, etc)
Should have interest in developing students to better the future of the industry
Must be a currently dues-paid SPE Professional Member
Expected Time Commitment
Sufficient time to review submitted papers and/or listen to presentations
This is a volunteer opportunity requiring a one-time commitment for the duration of the designated paper contest. It is not ongoing.
