DeGolyer and MacNaughton (D&M) promoted Gregory K. Graves, SPE, and Lonnie D. Murphy, SPE, to the positions of general manager and assistant general manager, respectively, over its Houston office.
With 3 decades’ experience in the energy industry, Graves joined D&M in 2006. Combining his background with his broad expertise in reservoir engineering, investment banking, finance, and economics, he has worked on projects in more than 20 countries. Graves received a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and completed post-baccalaureate studies in micro- and macroeconomics at the University of Houston. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas and a member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers. He was elected to the position of vice president at D&M in 2008.
Murphy joined D&M in 1998, and has evaluated large gas and gas-condensate fields in western Siberia and southern Russia. Murphy has also evaluated oil and gas fields in the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast areas, Oklahoma, and the Rocky Mountain and Appalachian regions. Before joining D&M, Murphy worked with Enserch Exploration for 17 years. He earned a BS degree in petroleum engineering from the Texas A&M University. He was elected a vice president at D&M in 2001.
