Total said on 21 January that first gas production from Britain’s Laggan-Tormore gas condensate fields off the Shetland Islands in the North Sea was expected to flow in the coming weeks. Peak production of 494 MMcf/D is expected. Production had been slated to start more than a year ago but encountered delays. Total, the operator, has a 60% stake in the project. Dong E&P and SSE E&P each hold 20% stakes.
