Oil and Gas Development Co. (OGDC) has discovered oil at the Chak Naurang South-1 exploration well in the Chakwal district of Pakistan’s Punjab province. The well was drilled to a depth of 3220 m and targeted at an Eocene reservoir to test the potential of the lower Sakessar formation. The well produced 180 BOPD using a jet pump. OGDC (85%) is the operator with an unnamed partner (15%).
