Kreuz Subsea appointed Knut Eriksen, SPE, as the company board’s first independent nonexecutive director. Eriksen has more than 35 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector around the world. In addition to managing operations, he delivered organizational transformation strategies, supporting business operations in Indonesia, Brazil, Japan, UK, Norway, and North America. For the past 2 decades he held senior management roles, including president of engineering at Aker Maritime and senior vice president roles at Oceaneering International and NATCO Group, focusing on operations and business development. He was the vice president for worldwide deepwater development at Unocal Corp. Earlier this year, Eriksen joined the board at Fairfield Geotechnologies as an independent nonexecutive director. He holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, a master’s degree in structural engineering from Washington State University, and an MBA in international management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
