Olympus' Vanta analyzer is a handheld X-ray fluorescence (XRF) device designed for element analysis and alloy identification in the field. Drop-tested using US Department of Defense standards, the analyzer is IP65-rated for dust and water resistance and can withstand a temperature range of -10 °C to 50 °C at full duty range. It allows for data transport via a USB flash drive, Wi-Fi, or a Bluetooth device, and it has an embedded GPS system to pair reports with GPS coordinates for documentation and data mapping. The analyzer comes with an optional panoramic camera that combines images with XRF data and GPS coordinates.
