Amot’s 4260E valve is engineered to provide quick and reliable protection in diesel engine overspeed/runaway conditions. Corrosion, fluid, dust, and debris can reduce the accuracy, reliability, durability, and useful life of an air intake shutoff valve. The company said the valve’s design prevents these problems and provides longer service life between maintenance cycles, higher vibration resistance, and wider temperature operating limits. Features include anodized aluminum and stainless steel construction for corrosion resistance, a latch mechanism that is enclosed in an IP 67-rated enclosure, and an IP 67-rated solenoid to prevent ingress of fluid and debris. The valve is a drop-in replacement for older air intake shutoff valves and is available in a wide range of sizes and custom connections.
