Johnson Matthey’s selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system for stationary diesel and natural gas engines, the compact Concat IC SCR system, is 30% to 40% less costly than a typical system, yet it offers the same nitrogen oxide (NOx) reduction performance, said the company. Its compact design provides more flexibility in housing design, especially for installations in places where space is at a premium. Suited for new projects and retrofitting into existing installations, the system requires 70% less space and weighs 50% less than a typical SCR system.
