Stress Engineering Services appointed Brent Vyvial as principal and lead of its midstream practice. Vyvial joined Stress in 2006 as an analyst and currently serves as a principal in the company. His research includes studies associated with the design of subsea flowlines and steel catenary risers using the strain-based rules of API RP 1111; investigations of composite pipeline repair systems at elevated temperatures conducted for manufacturers and pipeline operators; and numerous full-scale tests to evaluate pipeline anomalies.
Vyvial holds an MS in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.
