Apache promoted Tim Custer to the new role of staff vice president of land. Custer has been the Permian region’s land and commercial manager since its establishment in 2010. He joined the company in 1996 as senior staff landman for the company’s former western region and later served as a manager and director in business development. Custer began his career as a landman with Amoco Production working the Permian Basin. He holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum land management from the University of Texas at Austin.
