The CD52 Bandit from CDI is a nonintrusive pig signaler that uses either permanent magnets or active transmitters mounted onto the pig to detect passage at speeds ranging from 0.022 mph to 45.73 mph (0.01 m/s to 20 m/s). The signaler is designed for direct burial permanent installation, and comes with an optional armored flex cable. It can be powered for 1 year with two D-cell alkaline batteries, and it works with a wall thickness of 1½ in. A relay closure on passage allows the signaler to be interfaced with several systems, including SCADA and PLCs.
