Colette Cohen, SPE, was appointed as the first chair of the National College for Onshore Oil and Gas, which is based in Blackpool, UK. Cohen will lead the development board and guide the college through its business planning phase. She has 24 years of experience working on onshore, offshore, and international projects and has held engineering and management positions with ConocoPhillips, Reservoir Management, and BP. Cohen is Centrica Energy’s senior vice president for the UK and the Netherlands. She holds a BS in pure and applied chemistry from Queen’s University Belfast and an MBA in project management and economics from SKEMA Business School.
