Glacier Energy Services created new offshore and engineering divisions and appointed managing directors to lead the operations. Glacier Offshore comprises the Roberts Pipeline Machining and Site Machining Services businesses, while Glacier Engineering focuses on its Wellclad business, which delivers weld-overlay, welding engineering services, and turnkey manufacturing for surface and subsea wellhead equipment. Mark Derry joins Glacier as head of the offshore division. George Leggate, who recently returned to the company to head up Wellclad, leads the engineering division. Scott Martin continues as chairman of the group. Derry is a former chief operating officer of Ashtead Technology’s offshore division, managing director of SBS Marine, and head of UK business for Hydratight. He has global energy experience, in Norway, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore, gained during more than 10 years in international operations with Baker Hughes Centrilift and Fugro. Leggate has more than 20 years’ experience in oil and gas equipment manufacturing, global project management, process outsourcing, and global customer service operations. He rejoined Wellclad in late 2012, having founded the company in 1997.
