The National Academy of Construction elected Ken Arnold as a new member to its 2014 class. Arnold, a three-time SPE Distinguished Lecturer who has served on the SPE Board of Directors, is the coauthor of two facilities design textbooks and has written more than 50 articles on safety, project management, and facilities design. He founded Paragon Engineering Services in 1980 and AMEC purchased his firm in 2005. Two years later, he retired from AMEC to form a consulting firm, Ken Arnold Consulting. In 2010, Arnold joined WorleyParsons as a senior technical adviser. He has served on several committees of the American Petroleum Institute and in 2013, he received the Offshore Technology Conference Distinguished Achievement Award for Individuals. He holds a BS and an MS in civil engineering from Cornell University and Tulane University, respectively.
