CoreWater recently launched its first mobile water treatment unit based on proven precipitation technology that cleans and recycles wastewater from oil and gas drilling operations. The unit is up and running in the Denver Julesburg Basin. The on-location technology removes suspended solids, contaminants, and scalants from flowback and produced water—with zero liquid waste, the company said. The treated water can be reused for hydraulic fracturing and other well operations, which reduces the costs and environmental effects associated with water management. The self-contained trailer unit is fully automated and can be remotely monitored. It can use either internally generated or site power.
