John W. Eckart, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Murphy Oil Corp. will retire this year, after nearly 28 years of service. He is expected to serve in his current role until a successor is named by the company and assist in the transition. Eckart joined Murphy Oil in 1990 as auditing manager and took on roles with increasing responsibility, and was named to his current role in 2015. He serves on the company’s pension investment, employee benefits, and risk committees. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Arkansas and is a Certified Public Accountant.
