Willbros Group promoted Earl Collins to president and named Michael Fournier as executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO), responsible for construction and maintenance activities. Edward Wiegele was named executive vice president and president of engineering and technology. Collins joined Willbros last year as president of Willbros Oil & Gas, responsible for the construction, maintenance, turnaround, and fabrication of projects from the wellhead to small capital projects inside refinery limits. He previously served as president and global director of engineering, procurement, and construction and construction operations for CH2M HILL’s energy and chemicals business group. He holds a BS in construction engineering from Iowa State University. Fournier most recently served as president of Willbros Canada after joining the company as COO in 2011. He has more than 29 years’ experience in western Canada’s oil and gas service industry. Before joining Willbros, Fournier held executive and senior management positions at industrial contractors operating in the Canadian oil sands. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta. Wiegele joined Willbros in 2007 as vice president of integrity services and became president of engineering in 2010 and president of professional services in 2013. He previously served as senior vice president of the pipeline division and general manager of integrity services for GE Oil & Gas and spent 13 years at Panhandle Eastern, where he held engineering, construction, project management, and marketing positions. Wiegele holds a BS in civil engineering from Iowa State University.
