James M. Pappas

The Research Partnership to Secure Energy for America (RPSEA) appointed James M. Pappas as acting president. He is currently vice president of ultradeepwater programs for RPSEA. Before joining RPSEA, Pappas held positions with Devon Energy, including global technology coordinator, drilling, completions, production, and reservoir, and acquisitions and divestiture engineering positions with Santa Fe Snyder, Fina Oil, Union Pacific Resources, and Amoco. He holds a BS degrees in chemistry and chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Texas at Tyler.
