Jenin Hammad is entering her sophomore year as a Petroleum Engineering student at The University of Texas at Austin. She is an active member in organizations such as: The Longhorn Pep Band, Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Association of Drilling Engineers, and American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Throughout the summer, she has been taking summer courses to get ahead in her studies while working as a lifeguard at her local pool. Jenin plans to start pursuing a minor in Sustainable Energy to gain a deeper understanding with the rise of low carbon solutions in the oil and gas industry.
Jenin was born in Texas, but was fortunate enough to live overseas for eight years. She spent four of those years in Malaysia, and four years in The United Arab Emirates, which was an amazing cultural experience. Outside of school, Jenin enjoys hiking around Austin, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
