Riding the Oil Price Storm
Should I Stay or Move? Batten Down the Hatches or Prepare A Lifeboat?

The volatility of oil prices in 2015 has significantly impacted the entire landscape of the oil and gas industry. Amidst challenging times, energy companies seek new and greater efficiencies to ride the oil price storm. Are our region’s young professionals equipped to combat this storm and what do they need to be doing to better equip themselves to face the storm ahead?

As companies respond to the ever-changing landscape by striving towards maximising profits without compromising on health, safety, and environment compliance requirements, young professionals need to continually equip themselves to be abreast with new technologies, greater innovation, and also develop essential soft skills in preparation for the next big wave of oil price change.

Themed “Riding the Oil Price Storm”, the workshop will address challenges faced by young professionals today, prepare them with the necessary ammunition amidst fluctuating energy prices and provide them with the opportunity to engage with industry leaders and gain knowledge from exclusive keynote presentations, panel discussions and networking sessions as leaders and mentors share insights into how they see the industry unfolding for today’s young professionals.

Considering the current industry climate, the workshop will examine the domino effect of low oil prices on the industry vs. the opportunities; strategies to counter current challenges; and possible breakthroughs to minimise the gap between supply and demand.
