Welcome from the Programme Conference Co-Chairs
On behalf of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the professional oil and gas community of the Caspian region, we would like to welcome you to the fifth edition of SPE’s Annual Caspian Technical Conference and Exhibition (CTCE) taking place on 31 October – 2 November in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Following a very successful event in Baku, this year we expect the usual high level of professional engagement with a focus on the current market conditions facing the oil and gas industry, both globally and on a local level. CTCE will provide a platform for local, regional, and international experts to discuss topics relevant to maintaining and boosting technological advancements and developments in the region.
The conference has the support of a broad range of key stakeholders in the Caspian energy industry. It will once again take place in partnership with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KAZENERGY and PSA. The host organisation will again be KMG, and two of the largest oil and gas players in the Caspian have shown their support at the highest level; ExxonMobil and NCOC who will be platinum sponsors. You will also hear from high-profile speakers and panellists drawn from Government, advisory firms, operators, service providers, and energy research companies, including Tengizchevroil, TOTAL, Chevron, Shell, Fluor, BP, KPO, ENI, Baker Hughes, a GE company, and Schlumberger.
The programme will strike a balance between three keynote topical panel sessions and 12 technical sessions involving debate, and 50+ research-based presentations with the intention of exchanging knowledge, best practices, and experience.
The fifth SPE Annual Caspian Technical Conference and Exhibition will provide the perfect opportunity for you to meet and network with old and new colleagues, discover new technologies and insights into the industry, and discuss and share your experiences.
We look forward to seeing you in Astana.
