Message from the Symposium Co-Chairs
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to SPE Asia Pacific Digital Week Symposium, to be held from 19 – 20 September 2018 in DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Digital is enabling and disrupting the way we live and work. Digital creates opportunities for governments, businesses and communities to unlock and capture new value.
This rapid change has been augmented by the availability and affordability of new technologies, which have accelerated innovation and growth in a wide range of sectors. Energy companies are now turning to digital technologies to save millions in operating cost, at the same time making assets smarter and more efficient.
However, digital transformation is more than about deploying new technology within an organisation. It requires a holistic review of how companies operate and grow in the digital era. Beyond the technology, companies must reassess and revamp existing business models, management practices, information architectures and even the nature of customer relationships and brand value.
Understanding our industry’s challenges, the SPE Asia Pacific Digital Week Symposium gathers subject matter experts and industry practitioners to shed light on key topics. Amongst others, we will be covering topics as follows:
- Leveraging on the merging of digital and physical systems and processes
- Unlocking new value with data
- Organisational considerations in an increasingly digital world
- Security in an integrated cyber-physical environment
- Application of general digital concepts
It is our hope that the SPE Asia Pacific Digital Week Symposium will provide you valuable insights and new perspectives to support your digital transformation journey.
On behalf of the Symposium Programme Committee, we look forward to your support and participation at this exciting event.
