Thank you for attending the SPE Workshop.
Oil prices have gradually increased and stabilised towards the end of last year and the industry is getting ready to steadily move forward efficiently and be more cost-conscious. Among the lessons learnt from the low oil price environment is that some not commonly applied but proven techniques can be further explored and optimised in search of even lower well cost. One of the techniques is working with small diameter boreholes.
This workshop covers the philosophy, experiences, and best practices for this technique. In addition to that, some focus is directed on various existing and new methods and designs to overcome the technical challenges inherent to Slim Hole Drilling and Completion. Recent development and technology advancements are discussed to help address well design complexities, completions intricacies, operational risks, efficiency enhancement, and maximise benefit realisation.
