SPE Workshop: Drilling and Completion Optimisation 2 - 5 Dec 2019 Dusit Thani Lakeview Cairo Cairo, Egypt

Thank you for attending the SPE Workshop.
Plan your attendance to other SPE events in your region or technical area.

In line with the SPE Mission, collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources, and related technologies for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence. And, based on the continuous success we witnessed since we started this series of workshops, SPE is proud to announce its Drilling and Completion Optimisation Workshop in Egypt.

Through the years, we found that the subject of this workshop attracts the attention of several professionals in the oil and gas industry. The massive investment required to drill a well in deepwater urges decision-makers to spend more time investigating cost optimisation. Average costs vary widely between different types of drilling rigs, well equipment and material used for well construction. Drilling and completion costs represent a very large capital expenditure for oil and gas producers. The cost of drilling a well in deepwater ranges from $20 million to as high as $1 billion.
