About the Workshop

Workshop Description 

From the viewpoint of increasing reserves, the workshop will discuss the development of not only conventional gas but also unconventional gases including shale gas, coalbed methane, water-soluble natural gas, and methane hydrate.  In addition to that, the workshop will be a platform to exchange expertise and ideas on digital technology adoptions particularly in artificial intelligence and deep learning within the natural gas development.

As for environmental impact, storage, transportation and utilisation of natural gas, discussion will focus on various issues with zero-emission being the top, followed by the removal of impurities, application of carbon capture and storage (CCS), use of EOR in exhaust/excess gas, tackling fugitive emission issue and so on. The latest technologies and LNG value chain will also be examined based on the introduction of the recent LNG/micro LNG and gas transportation projects.

This workshop aims to share and discuss the latest technological trends, adoption and applications related to natural gas development amongst engineers and researchers across the upstream and downstream segments. Ultimately, the intention is to progress further in the natural gas development, storage, transportation and utilisation through the application of various state-of-the-art digital technologies along with environmental awareness in mind.
