This workshop aims to address the value creation issues associated with the applications of geomechanics in a project’s life cycle. The discussions will span across multiple length scale (from inches at wellbore to kilometres at reservoir) and time scale (from days of drilling to decades of reservoir production). The three technical sessions will address key challenges and value proposition in drilling and well architecture, completion and production operations, reservoir management and surveillance, and abandonment and decommissioning as well as two topical sessions on carbonate and unconventional geomechanics.
The workshop is a platform to exchange of ideas and best practices with a focus on addressing ‘pain’ points and how to bring value to these assets.
Participants will be able understand the realistic value creation throughout an asset lifecycle by attending this workshop. The workshop also promotes opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing on pertinent issues faced through the lenses of various operators globally.
