Thank you for attending the 2021 SPE Virtual Caspian Technical Conference.

Adapting to new realities - maximising efficiencies and productivity

With so many uncertainties still surrounding the global pandemic, the decision was made to run this year’s SPE Annual Caspian Technical Conference as a virtual event instead of an in-person conference in Baku.

While the format changed, the objectives for holding the conference continued to be about bringing together oil and gas professionals in Azerbaijan and the Caspian region to discuss the latest technical developments and promote the region as a hub for technical innovation and expertise in the oil and gas sector.

Bringing together an audience of local, regional and international oil and gas professionals

The virtual format opened up the event to an even wider audience who were able to access the technical programme without facing any travel restrictions.

New Interactive Virtual Platform

This year we used a new virtual interface which provided enhanced networking opportunities, 1 to 1 communication, live Q&A sessions and an AI match-making tool that aligned attendees directly with their interest area and provided beneficial targeted engagement opportunities.

World-Class Conference Programme

Being a recognised international platform and a key event for the Caspian oil and gas industry, the SPE conference featured an extensive technical programme covering a wide variety of topics.

The three plenary panel topics included: Unlocking Value through New Technology and Digitalisation; Attracting and Retaining Talent in a Challenging Market and Maximising Efficiencies in Today’s Evolving Landscape.
