Message from the Program Chairperson​

Dear Colleagues,
 

The 2021 SPE Reservoir Simulation Conference, initially scheduled to be held 4–6 October 2021 in Galveston, Texas, would have seen us celebrate the 25th edition of this prestigious event.

Due to challenges in the industry caused by the coronavirus pandemic, restrictions on travel, and public health concerns, the sound decision was made to cancel the in-person event.

In lieu of the in-person conference, we are providing the technical content on an on-demand platform which includes the authors’ recorded presentations and a special recorded session reflecting on trends and data produced over the past 50 plus years of this conference’s history.

The on-demand content will be available for 90 days, starting Tuesday, 26 October 2021.  While our desire was to meet face-to-face, we are excited about this opportunity to share the latest in reservoir innovations and applications—on a self-paced platform.

The program committee and I look forward to sharing the 2021 technical content with you and hope to see you, in-person, for the 2023 SPE Reservoir Simulation Conference.
