The forum will occur in 4-hour sessions on the afternoons (CDT) of 31 August and 2, 7, and 9 September 2021. See the Schedule under Attend for details.

This SPE forum is for management and team members focused on exploiting the Delaware Basin

The current era in unconventionals reflects the industry’s opportunistic development mode with the increasing focus on cash flow over-growth. The journey started more than 15 years ago with technology enablement to produce and develop reservoirs once thought not recoverable – reserves were king, and capital was easy to access.  It has been a steep learning curve for the industry while growing production from 5 to about 13 MM barrels per day and drilling roughly 200,000 horizontal wells across several basins.

Estimates from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Delaware Basin support a potential in-place oil volume in excess of 40 billion barrels. This is a staggering amount of oil for Industry to target, whose production will provide accessible energy for decades to come.

This SPE forum is for management and team members focused on exploiting the Delaware Basin. Session 1 will focus on topics around learning from the past developments. Session 2 will touch on topics related to the existing wells. Session 3 will cover future well development while the last session will cover the future and future options.
