At this SPE Workshop we looked at the most current learnings inside the Montney and Duvernay formations, which are positioned to lead the world in sustainable and responsible oil and gas production.

Canada ranks fourth in global gas production and the Montney accounts for almost half of that gas supply from Canadian wells, and nearly 8% of global gas reserves. “So Yah, the Montney is all the rage!” However, the Duvernay is no less a contender for great innovation in even more challenging spaces! As one of the premier liquids-rich shale plays, the Duvernay has the potential to produce roughly three times the marketable oil compared to the Montney.
