If you are experiencing problems paying online, please choose the “pay later” option. You should receive a call from the finance team within 5 - 10 working days who will be able to take payment on the phone. Or, you can choose to pay by invoice. We are doing everything we can to fix this problem and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Registration rates do not include UK VAT of 20% but this will be added when you register.

Visa Information

Prior to departure, please ensure that you have current travel documents and if necessary, an entry visa for Scotland. For visa application support or to request an invitation letter, please contact the SPE office in London.

SPE will only issue VISA letters after full payment and complete registration. 

Badge Pickup

Event badges and material will not be mailed in advance. Your registration badge and any event materials can be picked up from the registration desk on Wednesday 25 May from 0800. The registration desk will be open throughout the event for registration enquiries or other information.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations and requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the SPE Office in London at formslondon@spe.org.
  • Cancelations prior to 30 March 2022 will receive a full refund less the £60.00 handling fee
  • Cancellations received on or between 30th March 2022 and 27th April 2022 inclusive will receive a 50% refund.
  • For cancellations after 27th April 2022, no refunds will be paid although substitution can be made.

Refund Policy

This refund Policy applies to all refunds except in the event that the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office issues or designates an “Advise against all travel” travel advisory for London and/or United Kingdom for the dates of the event (“Travel Advisory”).  In the event of a Travel Advisory, (i) SPE may, at its sole option, change the location and/or dates of the event (“Relocated Event”) and, (ii) delegates may, at their sole option, request a full refund without penalty or, in the event of a Relocated Event, have the registration transferred to the Relocated Event.

In the unlikely case of cancellation of an event by SPE, SPE shall not accept liability for any consequential loss and shall have no liability to reimburse any other costs that may have been incurred, including transport costs, accommodation etc. SPE encourages delegates to take out travel insurance when making travel and accommodation and arrangements.

Registration Fee

  • Registration of participant will only be confirmed upon registration and receipt of full payment.
  • All outstanding payments must be received on or prior to the date of the event for participants to be allowed to attend. SPE reserves the right to cancel the registration if no payment is received prior to or on the date of the event.

VAT Regulations

Attendance fees are conducted under both the UK Value Added Tax Act 1994, as amended and the EC VAT law contained in Council Directive 2006/112/EC (Principal VAT Directive) and Council Regulation (EC) No. 1777/2005 (Implementing Regulation). The Implementing Regulation has direct effect from 1 January 2011.

Copyright Information

All SPE sessions are protected by EU copyright laws. Photography and audio-visual recording of any kind are strictly prohibited in the sessions and throughout the exhibition area.

I understand that SPE will implement, and I agree to abide by all, preventative measures to minimize the spread of COVID-19. Notwithstanding SPE’s measures and my compliance, I acknowledge that SPE cannot guarantee that I will not contract COVID-19. In exchange for allowing my participation at the SPE International Oilfield Scale Conference and Exhibition, I agree to release SPE, its employees, directors, officers and agents, from any claim or damages arising from or relating to COVID-19 resulting from my participation at the SPE International Oilfield Scale Conference and Exhibition 2022.
