Mature fields offer a unique opportunity to leverage digital transformation initiatives as they meet a key requirement: large amounts of historical data and number of wells. This session will explore the application of digital transformation initiatives in mature fields including reservoir characterization and optimization, operational improvements - Remote Operational models, Real time and Minimum Staffed - to extend the life of mature fields, improve its economics, maximize ultimate recovery and reduce its environmental impact.

Digital emergent technologies can improve safety on operations and help mitigation or prevention of personal accidents or even environmental disasters. There is a range of technologies that can be applied to monitoring activities through video analytics or radio frequency, using drones to replace human capital and reducing people on board through the automation of equipment and processes. Digital technologies will also be needed to in the Energy Transition process that the industry is embarking towards a cleaner environment.
