Thank you for attending the SPE Workshop.

The 2023 workshop will be held 22-23 February in The Hague. Learn more ►

This workshop will address all aspects of in-well fiber-optic sensing, from initial development optimisation through life-of-field operations and abandonment.

The initial phase of FO sensing applications in the E&P world, and significant remaining potential impact, include their application in other aspects of unconventional and conventional field development and operation: reservoir characterisation, production optimisation, well integrity monitoring and abandonment management.

Topics for Discussion

Fiber-optic sensing application case studies demonstrating value of in-well FO sensing, either alone or synergistic with other monitoring technologies

Extensive case studies and field deployment examples will demonstrate technical and economic benefits and provide guidance for developing workflows and identifying best practices

New/emerging advancements in sensing technology, deployment and interpretation methodologies that will stimulate additional or higher-valued use of the FO sensing
