Message from the Conference Chair and Technical Programme Committee Chair

The SPE/IATMI Asia Pacific Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition (APOGCE) will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 10-12 October 2023. Through the collaborative effort between SPE and IATMI since 1999, APOGCE has successfully established itself as the premier upstream technical event in Asia Pacific.

The 2023 edition returns in-person and continues to gather regional and global distinguished leaders, subject matter experts, technical professionals and practitioners across the energy value chain to share the latest technical know-hows, best practices and innovative applications.

Global challenges have very much impacted the energy industry in 2022. As the world aspires to achieve net zero carbon emissions, energy efficiency and accelerated transition will be prioritised to achieve these targets. The industry will continue to collaborate, explore new technologies, and optimise operations to achieve business excellence.  

Themed Managing the Base During the Net Zero Transition, the programme will focus on how the industry needs to excel in its fundamentals as well as to foster new technology and digitalisation, to ensure energy supply, operations and uninterrupted business during the energy transition. Pragmatism and sustainability in our approach will provide the industry with technical efficiency, energy security and resilience.

More than 250 authors from more than 30 organisations will be presenting technical insights, emerging technologies, innovations and real-life case studies across 30+ conference sessions. Call for Papers is open for abstract submission and abstracts are due on 12 December 2022.
