About the Workshop

This SPE workshop will bring together the science, research, and technology communities in both the traditional oil and gas industry and in new, rapidly growing energy sectors, as well as in the broader materials, digital and engineering domains. Through a mix of invited speakers and intensive discussions, we will strive to identify bottlenecks in the current business and technology trajectory in our industry. We will especially focus on non-linear interactions between different energy sectors, as well as white spaces that are poorly addressed by current enterprises. This workshop will formulate a new set of grand challenges, which can be actionably addressed by SPE members and their employers, as milestones on the roadmap towards global reliable, affordable and environmentally sustainable energy supplies.

What is an SPE Workshop?

An SPE workshop is a multi-day event that fosters knowledge sharing in an intensive learning experience. It provides brief technical presentations followed by extensive Q&A and discussion.

Staged in an intimate setting, an SPE workshop brings together E&P professionals with common roles and challenges to share ideas that advance both technology and best practices. They provide an environment for frank, open discussion. Press is not invited to attend.

The workshop’s program committee members solicit presentations from top industry professionals. This ensures a robust technical program with presentations that are laser-focused on best practices, lessons learned, and case studies.

What You Receive
