RICHARDSON, Texas, USA (4 November 2009)—The Canadian Society for Unconventional Gas (CSUG) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) will present a new, joint meeting, the Canadian Unconventional Resources and International Petroleum Conference, scheduled for 19–21 October 2010 at the BMO Center at Stampede Park in Calgary, AB, Canada.
The new conference combines and broadens topics that were previously covered by CSUG’s Annual Unconventional Gas Conference and the Petroleum Society of Canada’s Canadian International Petroleum Conference (CIPC) to create a premier international event presenting the latest knowledge on finding, developing, and producing unconventional gas and heavy oil in Canada and around the globe. RICHARDSON, Texas (26 October 2009) — The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) have formalized an agreement for intersociety cooperation to benefit their global membership through joint events, programs and services.
RICHARDSON, Texas, USA (8 October 2009)—The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) 2009 Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) was held this week in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, and brought together approximately 8,000 oil and gas E&P professionals from around the world.
ATCE 2009 featured technical sessions with approximately 375 papers on innovative technologies, case studies and best practices. More than 390 exhibiting companies, utilizing 88,800 sq ft of exhibit space, featured the latest products and services in the E&P industry. Continue reading
SPE has long promoted professionalism by recognizing engineers who are certified, licensed, or chartered. New to SPE.org is a listing of SPE members who have completed the requirements and exam for the SPE Petroleum Engineering Certification Program. Also listed for the first time are SPE members* who have informed SPE that they have obtained certification, licensure, or chartering through another entity. *These credentials were submitted by the individual member, and SPE has not confirmed the accuracy of the submission.
You are invited to attend a meeting and dinner hosted by the SPE Research & Development Technical Section and sponsored by Saudi Aramco at the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 7 October, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., in the Melrose Room of the Hilton in New Orleans, Lousiana.
There is no charge for attending this dinner meeting. However, due to limited seating, this important function is RSVP only.
