Gas was discovered at the Tamar Southwest (SW) exploration well offshore Israel. The well encountered approximately 355 ft of net gas pay within the targeted Miocene intervals. The well, drilled to a total depth of 5310 m in 1647 m of water, is estimated to hold gross resources between 640 and 770 Bcf of gas. Noble Energy (36%) operates Tamar SW, with Isramco Negev 2 (28.75%), Delek Drilling (15.625%), Avner Oil Exploration (15.625%), and Dor Gas Exploration (4%).
