ABB has been awarded a USD-216-million turnkey contract by OMV Tunisie Production—a subsidiary of Austria-based OMV—to build a gas-treatment plant for the South Tunisian Gas Project. The facility will include gas-separation and liquefied-petroleum-gas extraction units, and will have a capacity of 2.7 MMscf/D. Production is expected to start in October 2016. OMV (50%) is operator of the Nawara Production Concession, where the project is located, along with partner ETAP (50%)—Tunisia’s national oil company.
