Gerrett Soden was appointed president and chief executive officer of Africa Energy, a Lundin Group company based in Canada. Soden has worked with the Lundin Group for the past decade. He has experience being a senior executive and board member of several public companies in the natural resources sector. Soden is currently a nonexecutive director of Etrion Corp., Gulf Keystone Petroleum, Panoro Energy, and Petropavlovsk. He was previously the chairman and CEO of RusForest, CFO of Etrion and PetroFalcon Corp., and a nonexecutive director of PA Resources. Before joining the Lundin Group, Soden worked in Lehman Brothers in equity research and at Solomon Brothers in mergers and acquisitions. He was also a senior policy advisor to the US Secretary of Energy. Soden holds a BSc honors from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
