Halliburton’s board of directors appointed Jeff Miller, SPE, the company’s president and CEO, as chairman of the board, effective 1 January. Executive chairman of the board, Dave Lesar, retired on 31 December. Miller joined the Halliburton board in 2014 and was the president of the company from 2014 to 2017. Previously, he held numerous management positions with the company, including president and chief health, safety, and environment officer; executive vice president and chief operating officer; senior vice president of global business development and marketing; and senior vice president for Gulf of Mexico. Miller received a BS degree in agriculture and business from McNeese State University and an MBA from Texas A&M University.
Robert A. Malone will continue as lead independent director of the Halliburton Board of Directors.
