Equinor discovered oil at its Telesto exploration well near its Visund A platform. Resources are estimated at 12–28 million bbl of recoverable oil. The well encountered an oil column of approximately 115 m in the upper and lower parts of the Statfjord group, with effective reservoirs of 17 and 20 m, respectively. Equinor operates the production license. The company and its partners, Petoro, ConocoPhillips, and Repsol, are considering linking the discovery to the existing Visund field infrastructure.
