The Roto-Jet RO-FT API 610 pimp from the Weir Group is designed specifically for low-flow, high-head services. Its operating characteristics are similar to a conventional centrifugal pump. Energy is added to the fluid via the rotor, and a stationary Pitot tube converts the fluid velocity energy into static pressure. The pump has been specifically designed to achieve a broad operating range without generating damaging hydraulic forces during a process upset. It does not require an extrenal lube system, and the integral gearbox is isolated from process seal leakage.
