Woodside announced that COO Mike Utsler will leave his position in May. Ustler, who has more than 35 years’ global experience in upstream oil and gas, joined Woodside in December 2013. In his time as COO, he was responsible for global logistics, drilling, production, HSE, and security and crisis management. Prior to joining Woodside, Utsler served as president for the BP-Gulf Coast restoration organization.
Utsler’s successor, Meg O’Neill, will join Woodside in May after a brief handover period. O’Neill previously worked at ExxonMobil as vice president of Africa for the ExxonMobil Development Company. She holds dual bachelor degrees in ocean engineering and chemical engineering and a master’s degree in ocean systems management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
