Melody Meyer, SPE, will retire from Chevron as president of Asia Pacific exploration and production effective 1 June, after a 37-year career with the company. She will be succeeded by Stephen Green. In her recent years with Chevron, Meyer played an important role in advancing the company’s Gorgon and Wheatstone projects in Australia, the Chuandongbei project in China, and the Bibiyana expansion in Bangladesh. Meyer was previously president of Chevron Energy Technology Company until 2011, responsible for research and development and technology services. She has held several leadership roles for Chevron globally, including manager of operations engineering in Kazakhstan, offshore production manager in Angola, vice president of the US onshore midcontinent/Alaska business unit, and vice president of the Gulf of Mexico business unit. Meyer holds a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas.
